Our work
Oslo EV Safari with Oman Oil Marketing Company
In April 2025, we had the privilege of hosting senior executives from Oman Oil Marketing Company (OOMCO) for an Electric Vehicle (EV) Safari in Oslo, Norway.
This unique event was organised in the lead-up to the Nordic EV Summit 2025, providing an immersive opportunity to experience Norway’s world-class EV ecosystem.
The purpose of the EV Safari was to expose OOMCO’s leadership team to the latest advancements in EV infrastructure, customer experiences, and emerging business models, inspiring future initiatives in Oman’s rapidly evolving mobility sector.
Throughout the day, delegates engaged in a dynamic program, which included:
• Hands-on experience with a variety of electric vehicles, offering first-hand insight into the user journey.
• Site visits to leading EV charging hubs showcasing destination and public charging solutions alongside the latest innovations in charging technology, forecourt design and retail experience.
• Keynote session featuring an industry expert on the Subscription Model — a flexible and increasingly popular approach to EV ownership and usage.
The success of the event was made possible through the generous support of NIO, who sponsored the day’s activities and provided transportation and our site hosts, ST1, Circle K, and CertasEnergy, whose hospitality and operational insights were invaluable.
The EV Safari sparked vibrant discussions, fresh strategic thinking, and reinforced the critical role of collaboration, innovation, and knowledge sharing in advancing EV adoption.
The experience has laid the groundwork for OOMCO to bring new ideas and international best practices back to their domestic market.
With the momentum around EVs growing stronger, initiatives like the Oslo EV Safari demonstrate how experiential learning and cross-market collaboration are vital tools for shaping the future of sustainable mobility.
“An eye-opening experience, the EV Safari offers a powerful journey into how Norway successfully developed its electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure. Strategic government incentives introduced at the right time played a critical role in driving the country's EV transformation. Norway stands as a global model for EV adoption, and the insights gained from this experience will be invaluable as I work to apply these lessons back home.”
