Peter John Interiors store redesign
With original fittings over 30 years old Shopworks were asked to redesign family run business Peter John Interiors’ Berkhamsted high street store.
To create a welcoming atmosphere informal seating areas were placed around the store catching the attention of passing footfall, leading to increased dwell time as customers are drawn to explore more products at the back of the store.
A carefully thought out zonal plan ensured that space was optimised with categories placed in strategic locations improving customer navigation and independent browsing together with adjacencies designed to encourage increased basket spend such as curtain accessories next to curtains.
Over a 1000 sample books of varying sizes are organised in a bespoke merchandising solution of white units with solid oak worktops for warmth whilst also providing a neutral background for the sample colours to pop out.

“I contacted Shopworks to discuss a project in Berkhamsted renovating our high street shop which hadn’t been touched since the late 1970s. It was very tired and required a new lease of life to truly represent what we did as a company.
