Shopworks MD Craig Phillipson is heading to Manchester this week for Insight Market Focus UK and a deep dive into two of the UK’s most innovative roadside retailers; Blackburn based EG Group and Cumbria’s Westmorland Family. 

EG Group welcomes 3.5m customers through its doors each day, sells 190m cups of coffee and 17.6bn litres of fuel annually, has 1,828 foodservice outlets and 250 EV charging points.

Westmorland was recently named ‘best in the UK’ for motorway services for its Tebay and Gloucester sites by the UK’s prestigious ‘Which’ consumer champion association and has been described as “an exemplar of quality and uniqueness”.
