We are delighted to announce that Shopworks MD Craig Phillipson is participating in the 2024 ‘Best EV Hub in the World’ panel of judges. The panel of industry experts has a wealth of global experience in mobility, roadside and convenience retailing, representing a range of geographies and nationalities.
Over recent months Insight, led by Dan Munford,has been searching for ‘The Best EV Hub in the World’. An improving customer experience is vital for the future of mobility and the global energy transition, and the aim of the competition is to move the needle on the future of mobility globally by sharing and celebrating success and innovation.
The goal with this search is twofold:
- To provide a global view of the EV charging retail landscape while celebrating the journey retailers and CPOs around the world have undertaken to adapt and embrace e-mobility.
- To unite the roadside retail, mobility and charge point industry in a common goal to improve the customer experience for the EV driver.
Supported by Vontier and sponsored by Visa, a trusted leader in digital payments and The Coca-Cola Company there have been 24 outstanding EV Hub entries in the global competition across the Urban, Highway and Fleet categories.
The distinguished panel of Judges will review the entries, carefully considering the overall customer experience for an EV driver charging-on-the-go.
Central to their assessment will be the information provided per profile; their EV journey as a company; the site offer, the site layout, the number and type of available chargers; available payment and loyalty options, utilisation rates, uptime and maintenance measures, through to human health and sustainability considerations.
The panel will then assign a score per entry. The aggregated scores will produce a shortlist, which will be announced on 4 April 2024. Following which, the Insight global audience, will have the opportunity to vote online for the sites which they feel best demonstrates the qualities outlined above.
The online vote will close on 30 April 2024.
The overall winner of the ‘Best EV Hub in the World’ will be announced on 9 May 2024!
The winner will be interviewed in a special Global Convenience Store Focus video production and will have the opportunity to showcase their success at the top retail and EV events in the global calendar through the 2024 event season.
